UN Security Council renews mandate of MINUSMA peacekeeping force

The UN Security Council has voted to renew the mandate of its peacekeeping force in Mali despite the loss of air support from France. Also, healthcare workers in Zimbabwe are heading out on strike, demanding a tenfold increase of their wages and threatening to strike again if their demands are not met. And the Egyptian government has ordered the inhabitants of around 30 houseboats along the Nile to evacuate their homes by this week.
