Inside the French Islamic Organisation

Ever since the January terror attacks in Paris, debate has focussed on how well integrated France's Muslim community is. One organisation that has come under the spotlight in recent weeks is the UOIF: the Union of Islamic Organisations of France, one of the biggest Muslim umbrella groups in the country.

Its representatives claim to promote Islamic values while respecting the French Republic. But some of its former members and others have accused the organisation of having close links with the Muslim Brotherhood and of hiding its true aspirations.

So what are its aspirations? Does the UOIF have a hidden agenda? Our reporters Romeo Langlois and Alexandra Renard went to investigate in Paris, Lille and Nantes.
